Walk wisely, carefully, diligently

Sunday night my home computer got attacked by a virus and spyware. It got past Avast! anti-virus software installed and infiltrated territory where it was not wanted. Late Sunday night did not bode well at our house. Monday morning was not much better. I was angry and frustrated.

Monday's devotional reminded me of who I am -- A child of the King, and what I need to be doing:

  • Walk as children of light.
  • Let no one deceive you with empty words.
  • Do not be partakers with them that do evil.
  • Do not have fellowship with them that do evil - expose them
  • Walk wisely, carefully, diligently; not as fools
  • Make the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil
  • Don't focus on obstacles

Spyware and viruses and such are evil. Don't spend money foolishly to take care of a problem if the problem can be taken care with no money. Not every useful thing to do requires money. Not everything God wants us to do and learn requires money. Money is not the necessity for everything.

This morning I read in Hosea. What I learned from that was God wants a love relationship with each of us personally. He talks of turning his back on us, his chosen, but He never actually does so. He is always present, waiting for us to return from our self-destructive ways to Him.
