Whatever may come

"Do not fret ... Trust in the Lord ... Commit your way to the Lord ... Rest in the Lord ... Do not fret." -- Psalm 37: 1a, 3a, 5a, 7a, 8b

Whatever may come, do not become anxious and fret. Give your concerns, fears to the Lord. Trust that He will do as He says and provide all your needs as you need them. Do as the Lord instructs. Be obedient to His teaching in all ways and always. Commit. Then rest, wait patiently, strive for patience that the Lord will give you the desires of your heart according to His will. Remain free from fear. Stay true to God's word. Moment by moment.

Scripture to think on: "The Lord is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet." -- Nahum 1: 3 (New Living translation)

The book of Nahum is about Nineveh. I wonder ... can this book apply to any other time? What does verse 8 mean? - "But with an overflowing flood He will make an utter end of its place, and darkness with pursue His enemies."

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will direct your paths." - Proverbs 3:5-6
