Sometimes not so good
The day a loved one dies
The events
Leading up to that moment
Sometimes
It is the day
The actual day
Like Tuesday
Sometimes
It is the date
Sometimes
It is something
Special just the two
of you did together
Sometimes
It is a fragrance
An item of clothing
Sometimes
The memory
So invades you
Nothing matters
And
No one can
Touch the hurt away
Although it surely helps
Sometimes
The need
To be with another
Escapes us
And
We are stuck
With ourselves
Oh to go away
Eventually
It will,
It does.
The not so good memories
Move over
Leaving room
For happy and carefree moments
Of another time
Long gone.
