Contemplations

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind (might)." (Matthew 22:37 and Deuteronomy 6:5)

If we do not have the same love as God how can peace invade our inner circle of space and beyond? How can we hope for peace between other nations, our brothers and our sisters?

Love makes the world go round.

Was the music and words of the '60s really so far off base? We called them the love children, hippies. They looked for peace, not war. Perhaps their lifestyle was not all as it should be, but they were searching and perhaps some found.

Below is a video of "If I Had a Hammer" by Peter, Paul and Mary. Listen carefully to the words.

I was a teenager in the '60s. I was in my early 30s before I found all that I was missing ... Jesus.

Some search for meaning their entire lives and never find it - because they are unwilling to cross the bridge to new life, unwilling to turn their lives over to the very one who has control over their destiny. Don't say no. Give your heart to Jesus and follow Him.

~~~~~
Who or what do you think this verse refers to? An email my husband received suggested we pray for our president.
"Let his days be few, and let another take his office." (Psalm 109:8)
~~~~~

"At the beginning of every act of faith, there is often a seed of fear." (Max Lucado)

I agree. Fortunately, our faith in the Lord helps us to overcome our fear.
