Persecuted Christian?

I think Christians in America are persecuted. Not the way they are in other countries though ... more subtle.

There are hundreds of thousands of people in the U.S. who do not believe what the Bible says or that Jesus was born of God and man or that Jesus died for ALL of our sins or that He takes care of us. Those people think its a disgrace on our (us Christians) part, that we would stupe to such lies. This is just like Biblical times. God said it would happen and would continue until the end of time. And so it is.

Perhaps too few American Christians stand up for their beliefs. Perhaps too many of us stay in the background, on the sidelines, professing only silently what we believe. I don't know.

Fear of the unknown plays a big part. Be gentle, be compassionate, be patient, be honest. Be true to the Lord. Be obedient to His teachings.

I am a Christian
an Evangelical Christian
I believe the Lord Jesus
saved me from my sins
He gave up the ghost
laid down His life
ALL for me.
ALL for me.

I am a Christian
an Evangelical Christian
I have many fears and doubts
I am much like another
But different you see
for I have Jesus
And He means more to me
than whatever you have to offer.

I am a Christian
an Evangelical Christian
I believe in God's power
His holy word
He is my Father
up in heaven
Understands me better
than any being here on Earth.

I am a Christian
an Evangelical Christian
I reside in the United States of America,
in Iowa
in Cedar Rapids
But its only for a while
Someday I will go home ...
to my Father up in heaven

I am a Christian
an Evangelical Christian
a child, daughter
of the King
For Jesus died for me.
ALL for me.
ALL for me.
