When God is in control -- not us, nothing can interfere with the plans He has for us.
It is when we individually take charge that plans go awry.
Even in the midst of pain and suffering, when we give up control of the situation to the Lord, all that we undergo will not deter God from following through, making good on His promises. God always comes through. Why don't we?
"For I know the thoughts (plans) that I think (have) toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29: 11)
We don't really listen to what God says until we obey His teachings in the Bible. Wanting to and doing so are not the same. Doing so is a lifelong practice ... talking to, praying, meditation with God every step of the way and being obedient to Him. His thoughts, your thoughts. We must live in God's hope and trust in His purpose for us. Beware of false hope that abounds everywhere.
When we continually abide with Christ, we will be able to know, realize what is false and turn from it.
It's the journey ... not the destination. ... The journey ... my eyes were opened and I knew Him and my heart was changed. ... Won't you join me in my travels, meandering here and there, journeying within my mind and beyond, on paths great and small, through this world that was created by and belongs to the Lord God Almighty.
