Interruptions

People come into our lives and leave. Everywhere, anytime. It's just the way it is. We can all learn something from these interruptions in our lives. And the friendships we forge can remain as well. Sometimes friendships whither like a weeping willow, but often times, if we work at it, the friendships of many seasons (or even short duration) remain and are strengthened.
Moving away, moving on, doesn't mean our friendships have to do the same. We just have to work at staying in touch, by phone, email, letter, a visit.
