Be pleasing to God, not man

"Taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one." (Ephesians 6:16)

"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." (James 4:6-8a)

It is not for man's pleasing comments God's called ones come to proclaim His word before others.
If the Lord is pleased, if He is honored and glorified by what is said and done in His name that alone is what is important and what counts above all.

We are held accountable before God for the words we use and the actions we take. When our walk with the Lord is close and personal, He will convict us, He will discipline us, He will correct us and He also will encourage us to press on.

God is our judge, our authority. Our allegiance belongs to Him, not to any other.
