Bandit Bunny Boy, 2013-

Bandit "Bandy Andy Bear" Bunny Boy came to live with us Sept. 23, 2013, at 4 months of age. He was born in May in Center Point, Iowa, at the same place his older brother, BeeJay was born. We decided to celebrate his birthday on May 28. His coloring is Broken Black -- he has black ears and two black eyes ... he looks just like a bandit, hence his name. He likes to be petted, but not held for very long periods. He reminds me of my "obstreperous" cat, Tunie. He is our third and current Netherland Dwarf bunny.

BeeJay Bunny Boy, 2000 - 2013

BeeJay Bunny Boy died at 2:57 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013. He was 12 years, 11 months and 1 week old. We celebrate his birthday on June 14. He was born in June 2000 and his color was Siamese Sable. He was 5 months old when he was adopted into our family just days after losing "Thumpie" but before Thanksgiving in 2000. He is our second Netherland Dwarf bunny son.

Thumper Bunny Boy, 1997 - 2000

Thumper "Thumpie" Bunny Boy was born in February 1997 in Waterloo, Iowa and died days before Thanksgiving in 2000. He was 3 years, 9 months old. Thumpie was a special needs bunny. He had poor hearing when he came to live with us at 8 weeks of age and by the time he was 3 years old had lost all of his hearing. He also had digestive issues as he didn't like hay! He did like carrot tops and other veggies. He is our first Netherland Dwarf bunny.

Charlie "Tuna" Noodle Casserole, 1976 - 1992

Charlie "Tuna" was born May 21, 1976, and died over Labor Day weekend in 1992. He was 16 years old. He was 10 weeks old when I adopted him. He was an obstreperous cat. He lived one year after Jim and I were married. During that year, Jim tacked on the name Noodle Casserole. So Tunie's full name was Charlie Tuna Noodle Casserole Orrick Luders.

Vintage Santa made by my dad and painted by my mom in the 1950s. It is part of a set that includes a sleigh and reindeer. The Santa above is the original. The one below was repainted in 2011.

A witness

Joshua 24:26-27

"Then Joshua wrote these words in the Book of the Law of God. And he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak that was by the sanctuary of the Lord. This nativity, on display at Armstrong's Department Store, downtown Cedar Rapids, from 1959-1990, and then at Smulekoff's from 1991-2008,was restored to its former glory following heavy damage sustained in the 2008 flood.
