"Only when I forgo visible proof, do I believe in God." -- Dietrich Bonhoeffer
There are some who think we need to see
the miracle
Reach out and touch and feel
to believe
in the Almighty God.
But why?
Oh why
is His word
in His book
not enough?
It says in Genesis 1:1,
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
And of the earth,
in Genesis 1:12
God said
"Let the earth bring forth grass,
the herb that yields seed according to its kind,
and the tree that yields fruit,
whose seed is in itself
according to its kind."
He divided the day from the night
-- the greater light, the sun
-- the lesser light, the moon.
The stars, the seasons
living creatures
upon the earth
and under the seas
and birds above the earth
And He made man.
From Genesis 1:26-27,
God said,
"Let Us make man in Our image,
according to Our likeness;
So God created man in His own image;
in the image of God He created Him;
male and female He created them."
We see the result.
It is there.
We live within the miracle.
Why do we not believe
Why do we need more proof
Why is it never enough?!
God sent His son, Jesus.
He said He would and He did.
But woe to all who refuse to believe,
who refuse to accept His promise,
His miracle
and best,
His eternal gift of salvation.
There are many miracles.
There are many who do not believe in any of them.
They ask for proof.
Proof.
Always someone asks another for proof.
Proof you love me.
Proof you will pay.
What is achieved?
"The proof is in the pudding" - you've surely heard that saying.
The proof lies within our heart ... we are in Him ... He is in Us
It's the journey ... not the destination. ... The journey ... my eyes were opened and I knew Him and my heart was changed. ... Won't you join me in my travels, meandering here and there, journeying within my mind and beyond, on paths great and small, through this world that was created by and belongs to the Lord God Almighty.
