During the Cedar Falls Bible Conference the last week of July one of the preachers talked about Bible doctrine under attack by the evangelical church - those who profess belief in Jesus Christ!
What do you believe?
What do you teach?
What gospel do you follow?
What does faith mean to you?
What do you really want in life?
What do you live for?
What price are you paying for what you believe?
What is the starting point?
"I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert (distort) the gospel of Christ." (Galatians 1: 6-7)
"For I am not ashamed (disappointed) of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith.' " (Romans 1: 16-17)
We must remember what the true gospel is -- our starting point -- that Jesus Christ died for our sins - past, present and future - of all of mankind. He went to the cross, He shed His blood for us. He was buried. And after three days He rose again.
Life has no real meaning if we do not believe in this. If this is not your starting point, what you believe, what you teach, what you life for, is meaningless.
What are you holding onto that keeps you from living for what Jesus died for?
It's the journey ... not the destination. ... The journey ... my eyes were opened and I knew Him and my heart was changed. ... Won't you join me in my travels, meandering here and there, journeying within my mind and beyond, on paths great and small, through this world that was created by and belongs to the Lord God Almighty.
