We are chosen ... to be His

"Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the wonderful kindness he has poured out on us because we belong to his dearly loved Son." - Ephesians 1:4-6 NLT

Chosen
chosen before time
by the Lord God above
chosen to be
a child of the King
you and me
and him and her
adopted into His Kingdom
through the
shed blood of His Son
Jesus!
Chosen
and settled for eternity
adopted into His family.

His family --
may
or may not
be
your spouse
your children
your brother or sister
your cousin
your nephew or niece
your uncle or aunt.
His family --
all ... everyone
who professes
the Lord Jesus
as their Savior
who is
obedient
to the call extended
and follows
and still obedient,
abiding in Him,
He abiding in us.

Chosen
selected personally
by the Lord God
to be a vessel
of His love
first choice
second choice
There are no favorites
in God's Kingdom
There is, however,
the best choice
for this time
this moment
The present.

Chosen
to serve
the Lord God Almighty
to serve with gladness
of heart
remembering
it was His Choice
to send His Son
His Choice
to die to you
His choice.

Why should your choice
and mine be any less?

Our Choice

"... But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, ... you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days ... I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, ... that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days;" (Deuteronomy 30:17-20a NKJ)

God created us - Adam and Eve were His first - and we created more. We are not on equal footing with God. No one is of His stature. He is Above all, greater than our greatest. Each of us is created to be like Him, but it is our choice to Be like Him, to listen to Him, to obey Him, to follow in His footsteps.

Likewise, it is our choice to listen to our feelings, to give in to self-doubt, to settle on self, and not on Him, to chase our sorrow in drink (or food), to never open the pages of His book, to never get started on a new road. It is always our choice.

We choose every day. We feel pain and agony, whether physical or emotional, and we can settle there and constantly complain of how we "feel" today ... or, we can move on. Get busy. Open His word. Get into His word. Pursue study. Listen to what He says to us. Find a Bible-believing and teaching church if you don't already attend or belong to one. Get involved. Become attuned to where you need to be. You may discover that where you need to be is where you want to be, and nothing in your life will prevent you from following Him.

It is your choice.

What have you decided?
Will you follow Jesus?

What do you choose?

We face the consequences of our actions. God's judgment is released once we have come against/been disobedient to the Lord. The consequences of events that transpire are a result of sin that ultimately began the day Adam and Eve followed their own desires, their own wants.

Not all events are a result of sin, however, by refusing to believe in and follow the Lord Jesus, we travel dangerous waters.

All people have worth, but we are not whole, complete. We have defects, blemishes, not just the outer covering that you and I see, but inside, which God sees. And God judges.

He is love and loving and as such, He allows us all, each of us to make our own decisions, right or wrong. God wants us to be His very own child, but it is up to you and me to decide the route we will take.

Do I believe
Do I accept
Do I follow
Do I obey
Do I listen to the teacher, the disciplinarian, the judge, the Lord Jesus Christ.

He is my friend. Friends, even our eternal Lord and Savior, allow choices.

What is yours?

It is your choice

Happiness is not based solely on circumstances. Joy is not based on happiness. Love is more than a feeling. Life is more than being born.

We will never understand why people choose to do what they do. Since the very beginning of time, we have all been given a choice to do, to be, to say ... or not.

A choice to react, a choice to get even, a choice to be angry, a choice to be despondent, a choice to be upset, a choice to not forgive, a choice to forget, a choice to remember. All the choices in the world are yours and mine and every day we make new ones, dredge up old ones and or just choose to stay in the middle. Choosing to stay put, going nowhere.

One minute your choice may be for the Lord, because ultimately, IT IS about HIM.

But the next minute, someone says something or stops you in mid-sentence or interrupts you and you choose to wonder why you bother to even share your thoughts, your ideals, your plans for a different tomorrow.

Your choice when you stop and think how you might be able to help another see how the Lord is working in their life.

Your choice when you close your mind to one and reach toward another. Your choice when you've forgotten how your actions, your words might affect another.

Your choice to put your fears and hurts and pain and dissatisfaction with events in your life on a shelf and leave it there, never to remove.

Your choice to complain. Your choice to dwell on those things you put on that shelf.

Your choice to ignore those who forgot how to be human for even that one minute. You too have forgotten.

Your choice to remember God forgave you. Surely we could choose to forgive another, couldn't we?

"For God so loved the world He gave His only Son that whosoever believed on Him, would not perish, but would have eternal life." (John 3:16) His choice was to send His son to mankind to save them from their sins, to save us, you and me, from our sins.

Your choice. It is your choice. Always your choice. Whether one with Christ or one alone, all that unfolds is a choice. When you are one with Christ, God will cause all things that happen in the course of time to come together for our good.

Your choice, good or bad or indifferent.

Only 1 way

There is only 1 way into heaven ... and that is through Jesus Christ.

Those who think and tell others there are many ways are lying. They are Satan's workers. Only Satan would have you believe no matter what you do or how you live, you will go to heaven when you die. Everyone will go there. Hell exists only on earth. Satan will tell you, IF God loves you, why would he sentence you to hell?

Your choice, your choice.
It's what you choose.

Jesus is the way ... the only way.

Do not compromise your faith to please one of Satan's workers, to please the world.

Satan is a fallen angel. He wanted all that God had. He wanted to be God. He was sentenced to damnation.

Human beings, God's creation, were given choices. Follow and obey the Lord or do Satan's bidding.

It's our choice. Don't ride the fence, travel down the middle of the road. Follow Jesus the Lord.

... or don't. Reap the consequences of your actions.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will direct your paths." - Proverbs 3:5-6
