Being obedient

When
you get too close
to the Truth
of who Jesus is
and what He represents

When
you are obedient
to the Lord
and teach from the heart
His commandments

Others
become afraid.
They don't want
what you have
They don't want
what Jesus offers.

They want you
to leave, to depart
to be gone
They don't want
to be bothered.

So you go.

But you remain
faithful, obedient
to the Lord Jesus

Through prayer.

"Then they came to Jesus and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region." (Mark 5:15, 17)
